Château le Raz

 Château Le Raz belongs to the Barde family since 1958 and is located in the village of Saint Méard de Gurçon in Périgord. The vineyard stretches over 65 hectares and sits on clay-limestone hillsides and high sand-clay plateaus with iron bearing subsoil. 30 hectares are dedicated to white grapes (Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle). 35 hectares are dedicated to red grapes (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec). The two-floor gravity fed cellar allows production of elegant wines, with aromas delicacy.

About IGP Socius

Socius is an IGP Périgord located Southwest of France in a region called Dordogne. They earned the appellation, this is a reward of efforts winemakers have been doing to increase quality of their wines and to put forward their tradition and terroir. Therefore 2009 the IGP appellation was granted to the region.
