About

Terroirs Export was established in 2013 by Thibault Poisson to help family-run vineyards to export their wines.

We only work with family-run estates who share our philosophy:
- Respect their environment and harness their terroir through different cuvée wines.
- Not necessarily certified but use integrated farming methods.

Terroirs Export acts as the export department for these estates, allowing the winegrowers we work with to focus on their vineyards and wines.

We are proud to work with winegrowers who, brought together under our brand, produce a balanced and original range of high-quality wines that provide our importers and distributors across the world with excellent value for money.

About Thibault Poisson

A Passion For Wine...

Born in Paris in 1977 and raised in Normandy, I didn’t grow up in a winemaking family! However, my passion for wine – thanks to my family specially my epicurean dad Xavier - led me to pursue a career in the wine industry.

After graduating from IPAG Business School in 2001, I spent a year in Burgundy studying wine and taking courses at the CFPPA in Beaune.

During my student year in Beaune, I also worked as an assistant winemaker at Pavillon de Chavannes in Côte de Brouilly and Lupé Cholet in Nuits-Saint-Georges.

After different enriching experiences travelling and learning thru French and foreign vineyards, I moved to the USA in 2002, and spent four years in Houston, TX as a wine manager for Global Quality Import, a fine wine and spirits importer.

Back in France in 2006, I worked during eight years as Export Manager with the Feray Family – owner of Chateau Moncontour in the Loire Valley.

I, then, founded Terroirs Export in 2013 to work with a variety of vineyards.
As of today, I’m engaged with 39 vineyards and I’m exporting in more than 10 countries!

Since 2020, I have also been a winemaker with two friends, Laure Jambon-Mareau and Tannegui Bujard, in Côte de Brouilly with Les Cardineaux. I truly enjoy having these two jobs, which provide both successful stories and great memories !
